Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through Uganda’s lush countryside to Kibale National Park. Along the way, enjoy the picturesque views of tea plantations, crater lakes, and the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Arrive at your lodge, where you can settle in, unwind, and prepare for the excitement of the following day’s chimpanzee trekking.

Start the day with a briefing from your guide on what to expect during the trek, then head into the dense Kibale Forest in search of chimpanzees. As you trek through the vibrant forest, keep an eye out for other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as colorful bird species that call this forest home. Once you locate a chimpanzee group, spend an unforgettable hour observing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, watching their interactions and learning about their unique behaviors. After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation.

On the final day, experience the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, an eco-tourism project known for its rich birdlife, unique flora, and chance to spot more primates in a different setting.
